A reduction, or at least some amount of restriction, on H-1Bs is already being discussed. Donald Trump has already stated that one of the goals of his administration will be to combat H-1B mis used by companies looking to hold down labor costs at the expense of American workers. There is already a bill being readied in Congress, the Protect and Grow American Jobs Act, that would scrap the H-1B program. Just how much it would cut from the current program is still unknown, or if it will be scrapped in its entirety, but there is pressure on both sides of the argument that will likely have to be hammered out before a final bill is presented.

Whatever the final outcome, it is almost certain that there will be at least some changes that will make it Stronger, if not impossible, for U.S. tech companies to continue importing foreign workers as they have in recent years.
