My son is planning to study in Canada or America with his plans to settle there. Now me and my wife use sirname as we recently got that added in the passport but my son does not. Neither has he in the school or other documents. Is it in anyway going to be a problem in the study visa or at the time of applying for PR.

Dear Jaswinder,This is inform you that it is not mandate to have father's/family surname in passport. It will not be an issue in apply for Visa. If there are name changes then he can provide affidavit ... (More...)
