Generally, immigration officials will initiate a back ground check on your Work experience in line with your official documents like Appointment Letter, Confirmation Letter Promotion Letter, Experience Letter, Relieving Letter & Referral Letter, when you apply for skill assessment with concern assessing authority of Australia.

They may approach your HR or Your referees via e-mail or through a call ,who had referred or declared that you were/ working with particular company from so and so date to so and so, with a designation and descriptive roles and responsibilities.

They also might request an official from Indian embassy to visit your office personally to verify your employment with that company.

Post which, you will get your outcome letter from Skills Assessing Authority

Hi All,

Today i would like to share some information about Australian Temporary Visa (Sub - Class) 489

It can be applied without having a job offer from Australia.

Below are the mandatory things you need to have to apply for Temporary Visa 

1) Positive Skill Assessment Letter from an relevant skill assessing body of Australia

2) IELTS / PTE Score card

3) You Occupation must be listed in that particular state, for which you are applying for under (489 -   Sub- class list)

If you are applying under this sub- class you will get 10 points by default 

General Requirement of points is 60 

The Validity of the temporary visa is of 4 years, post which you can apply for Permanent residence Visa from Australia.

NOTE: Before applying for a regional or state nomination, please read the requirements of the state you are intending to apply for.

Difference between 1) Skilled Migration (189)

                                 2) Skilled Nominated (190)

                                  3) Skilled Regional provisional Visa (489)

189 Sub class: It enables an applicant and his/her dependents to live and work anywhere in Australia and there will not be any restrictions. It is valid for 5 years

190- Sub- class: An applicant and dependents are bound to live and work in a nominated state of Australia for initial 2 years and remaining 3 years they can live and work in any state of Australia 

Eg: If any applicant gets a nomination form NSW (New South Wales) he/ she is supposed to live and work in NSW for initial 2 years out of 5 years.

489- Sub- class (Temporary Visa) An Applicant is supposed to live and work in a regional area from where he/she gets the invitation and they are supposed to live and work in the same region for initial 2 years out of 4 years.
