Aboriginals of Australia are quite famous around the world. They believe that there is a very close relationship between human beings and land. They call the beginning of the world as ‘Dreamtime’! The aboriginals are generally located in Northern Australia. Before the Aboriginals joined the white communities and became current Australian population, they seem to carry a long lost history of origin in their gene traits.

Gene Flow:

Aboriginals in Australia were believed to be in isolation until first migration occurred some 40,000 years ago. To break the belief, genome of the aboriginals is being studied extensively in German colleges, to find the actual origin of the Australian Aboriginals.

The study has concluded that the Australian population has some common origins in their gene traits. New Guinea and a Philippines Negrito group (Mamanwa). It is estimated that these groups came apart 36,000 years ago. In the analysis, another mysterious fact has been unveiled! There is a trait representation of Indian gene from India to Australia which is approximately 4230 years old.

The researchers are not sure about the origin of the gene flow from the Indian Subcontinent. The major reason for the gene flow is predicted to be the expansion of trade and travel of the different cultural groups, which is known as Austronesia. It is a term devised to explain the interactions of Australians with Asians.

There are mixed interpretations regarding the origin of the Australian Aboriginal populations. The only thing which has been clarified is that the current population is not the representative of the Aboriginal population only. The gene traits of every sample, which came from the Northern Territory of Australia, have a wide range of links with Indians, New Guinea, and Mamanwa.
